A product junkie’s bathroom is always a work in progress.

A mix of high and low-end products congregate on shelves, cabinets, and counter tops either waiting to be tested or in the final stages of being finished. Whether found scanning at Trader Joe’s or strolling through Nordstrom on a whim, something will always catch the eye. On my end, I’ve currently been testing out a pricey little hair mask to see if it’s worth the hefty price. The Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask rests next to my large bottle of Kirkland shampoo and I’m going to argue it’s worth giving a try. Hear me out.

The smell of the Christophe Robin Regenerating Mask alone smells like seventy-one dollars. The aroma reminds me of a high-end department store in France where I can’t even afford a pair of socks. I don’t know what rare prickly pear seed oil smells like, but the scent reminds me of milk and honey and remains long after the mask is rinsed off. The creamy formula coats strands and it feels as if your hair is drinking a glass of fancy, delicious custard. An extravagant custard cashmere sweater, if you can imagine, envelopes your strands. You just need a small scoop of product and work it through from scalp to ends.

The jar recommends letting the mask sit for five minutes. However, I leave the mask on for seven minutes to really enjoy the luxurious experience and to also shave my legs. It’s called multitasking guys! It’s 2019! The mask rinses clean and when I step out of the shower, I feel like a million bucks. Whether you like to blow, or air dry your hair, the mask leaves your hair soft with a healthy sheen. This product is great for those who use heat styling products and/or have color treated hair. My hair is on the thick and coarse side with a bit of heat damage, so I like to use the mask about once every two weeks. While the price is steep, it’s worth trying.
