Lilac haze

I am obsessed with colorful eyeshadows at the moment and the color I’ve been playing around with the most is purple.

It was one of the reasons why I bought the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde palette two months ago and have been obsessed with it ever since. Colorful eyeshadows are a bit of a challenge to pull off for me, especially pastel/light matte shades. What I like about these shadows is that they are easy to build up to your desired intensity. On a whim and hopped up on tons of coffee, I decided to do a purple-pink eye look with the palette and I think it has become one of my new go-to looks.

If you’re using any Huda Beauty eye palette, I recommend getting a Fender Blender brush. It’s a simple double-ended brush with a sponge and silicone tip on either end. While it’s a simple brush, it's essential if you’re applying the shimmers and glitters on smaller areas and corners. I used the sponge tip to apply Cosmic as a topper all over the lid and used the silicone tip to apply Supermoon to the inner corners.

I kept the rest of my look simple since the eyes are the focal point of this look. After a heavy dose of moisturizer, I used all Glossier products, not intentional, for my face. I used a moist beauty sponge to apply Futuredew on the high points of my face as a highlighter with an extra dose on my cheekbones. For mascara, I used three coats of Lash Slick for natural but defined lashes, this mascara is perfect for lengthening and separating. I don’t think this mascara gets enough credit for how good the formula is. With my lips, I didn’t want to put any color on so I left my lips bare except for a swipe of Lip Gloss in Clear, perfect for a glass sheen. I love this look and can’t wait to wear it more often.
